PADI Advanced Open Water
The PADI advanced open water class helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different adventure dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
The class consists of 5 dives conducted over 2 days. Typically these will include :
Peak performance buoyancy or search and recovery
Enriched Air (Nitrox)
Deep Dive to 30M
To participate in the class you must be 15 years or older and complete a medical statement or diving medical if required.
Course price includes online theory modules, tuition, all scuba equipment hire, boat and certification fees.
Schedule is flexible to suit student needs, the weather and our dive charters.
At Dive Whakatāne, we do not compromise on the classes we offer. Therefore
Class sizes are restricted in the water to a maximum of 4 students. This is important for your learning as it allows your instructor time to focus on individual student needs and provide immediate feedback.
The class is taught using Halcyon dive equipment which is designed and used by many of the worlds leading exploration divers. For students, it is a huge benefit to learn in equipment that allows skills to be developed more easily.
Water modules are taught in a variety of different environments - freshwater lake and most importantly, the ocean.
Your instructor has decades of dive experience from deep ocean, cave and wreck environments with which to pass on personal knowledge.
